Landscaping Around Your Home

It’s normal for folks to want their home to look good and be the envy of the neighborhood but how is this accomplished? Through landscaping (and you can save money by doing some of the work yourself). It’s not hard once you have a plan.

A bit of determination and some spare time and you can make your home look amazing. If you need help you can use landscaping software for starters. Software can help you  visualize what your yard will look like after the planting is done. They will give you different layouts and help you decide on what is best for you.

Don’t feel up to using software? No problem the internet has much to offer in the way of finding information. You will want to research so you will cut down on mistakes; it’s a good idea to look through some books and get a feel for what’s out there. You can also pick up valuable tips from a book and save your self a lot of time and effort.

Before you start landscaping always call the gas and electric company to make sure you are not digging in a hot spot. Check out zoning laws in your township they can but a damper on your landscaping and make you stop work altogether. This is especially vital if you live in a gated community or a  condo association they can tell you what you can and can’t plant, or what you can or cannot build for example a gazebo.

So do some homework before you plant and our outdoor landscaping will look fabulous in no time.

Backyard Landscaping Design Idea - Evergreens

Need a backyard landscaping design idea? How about this one - evergreens they are sturdy and live for a long time with proper care. They range from full on trees to beautiful shrubs and when we say evergreen we don’t just mean the color. They will look good when there are no other trees or plants around a wonderful focal point for your landscaping.

Some examples are Rhododendrons, Peiris which is a pretty white shrub with upside down buds, and others you may have heard of Pines, Spruce and Cedars. Evergreens come in many shades of green, but also sliver and gold.

Many folks use deciduous trees (trees that shed their leaves annually) this is fine but who do you think has to rake those leaves up? You do! So evergreens are not only beautiful but they take less time to maintain.

Besides deciduous trees won’t look as nice all year long but an evergreens beauty will last through all the season. Which is why landscapers love to use them. Evergreens can also be used for holiday decorations to spruce up the festivities.  Get it Spruce!

So when you think of backyard design think evergreen.
